Happy 7th Anniversary!

Congratulations to me, as 7 years ago today I made the best decision I will ever make.  I love you with all my heart and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Happy Birthday America!

TSA Security and Other Excesses in The War On Terror

These guys with "looking for contraband", the NSA with its wiretapping... I'm so irritated.  As a person who used to work at the NSA and who got all the FISA briefings all the time about protecting Americans privacy, I'm just frustrated.  Why in the world do we let them get away with this?  And what can we really do about it?  I hate feeling powerless...

This is what "I love my job so much, I'd do it for free" is supposed to look like

I have never seen or heard of such a thing before.  Who in the world spends six months of their life, working 72 hours a week, with no guarantee that their efforts will be recognized?  How in the world can you put up with what these two guys had to put up with?  You do what you do because you LOVE it.  The best rewards are intrinsic.

Ron Paul's Bill to Audit the Fed Gaining Support

I normally wouldn't link to an article from Fox News, as I find their ridiculous level of Republican partisanship off-putting (even more so than CNN with Democratic partisanship, honestly).  However, my man Ron Paul is more of a Libertarian than a Republican, so I'll link this up.  Transparency in government is something we all should demand, and I don't have any idea as to why something like this hasn't happened before.  Well, I do have ideas, but they're pretty cynical towards government and politicians, so I'll just not state them.
